The

INTERVIEW WITH COMPOSER, DAVID HAMBURGER (PART 1)

June 25, 2017

Here is a great interview with composer extraordinaire, David Hamburger. His most recent work includes scoring the CNN mini series “High Profits” (which was one of the most watched shows on Netflix), A&E’s “Shipping Wars”, as well as the series “My 600-lb Life” among others.

This was supposed to be a 10 minute interview and it turned into almost an hour of amazing advice for composers just starting out. Because it was so long I decided to edit it into two parts, so here is Part 1 (10 min).

Composing for TV & film is different than getting your songs licensed. That said, the big take away here is how David was able to start from scratch and not only work on some top TV productions, but also make a living at what he loves to do. So can you!
