I just wanted to reach out to see how your music is doing this year so far.
If you are still trying to get your music into TV & film, I am happy to give you some advice on the best way how.
Hey! Give us a shout about anything really.
Our goal is for you to start getting your music into TV & film.
Hi! Thanks for the opportunity to send a message! If I’m writing my own music, mostly instrumentals, would it be better to try and get into music libraries that provide high quality music exclusively or is there another, better way?
Hi Chris,
It’s been non-stop writing, recording, mixing, mastering, pitching, repeat.
Thank you so much I been doing music and writing songs for 25 years and never gave up still going I will love for you to help me get my music on TV and films https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mB4UCKhXtWo8spMrvkniYAFN5FG38kOOY&si=Ilthr9LX6G4Qh4gw
I have dozens of tunes on distrokid, spotify, utube.etc

Hello,
I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to inquire about the process of getting my music placed in television shows, films, or other media projects. I am a music producer and DJ currently creating original tracks, and I am interested in exploring opportunities for synchronization licensing.
I would appreciate any guidance on how independent artists can submit music for consideration, as well as whether you accept demo submissions or work through a specific platform or licensing process.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to learning more about how to potentially collaborate.
Best regards,
Mark Hickling

Hi Chris
For me its all about having enough funds to pay for a course like yours .
If I were able I would be out there working day and night to pay for your course .
Always wanting to share my music 🎶 with the world 🌎 1 day at a time 🙏😊❤️
I believe that there will be a number of independent films and possibly features about the debacle in Minneapolis. See this original song I recently released. https://www.tiktok.com/@johnobriensmusic/video/7608661649481927966?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7613151051483596319
I recently wrote and recorded a song called, “It Would Have Been Enough” at Beaird Music Group in Nashville. The song was inspired by episode 4, season 5 of “The Chosen” … It is professionally recorded, radio ready and I believe that Angel studios and “The Chosen” may wish to use this recording. Please contact me via email
The music is doing great still trying to see what works for me, but yes please share, I would love to see where my music can go…….
I’ve sent my current songs on Disco to about 125 music libraries, and I’m finally finishing 4 more songs this month, which I hope will give me a little more variety.
One music library wanted my songs, but my lawyer didn’t like some of the terms, so it went away.
Yes, beware music libraries as an indie songwriter. There is nothing wrong with them inherintly, it’s just that you will be competing against millions of tracks all vying for attention. You really want to connect with the right people in TV & film because that is where the magic happens. Relationships got 5 tracks from our members into the biggest film of the year last year, Anora, which won 5 Oscar Awards.
Hi there how goes it
My name is Stuart, I own & run a music recording studio in Wembley, UK…
I’m interested in learning more about your services!!! I started a composers course 10 years ago called Music For The Media that was run by Guy Michell more… never got to complete it due to studio commitments etc…
Could you please email over more info re how you can help folks to pitch their music cues & scores!!!
Most appreciated!
Kind regards
Stuart
Hi Stuart, great to meet you. Just reach out through our website and we can fill you in on what we do. Great to hear you are looking to get tracks placed in TV & film.
Hi Chris, not much success with my music moving forward in film and TV but still hopeful. Thank you for the reach out. I appreciate the feedback on my song “Drifting Away”.
Yes, it’s not easy unless you can connect to the right people in TV & film. That is where I have have seen the most success by far though, so don’t give up.
Hi Chris, Great to hear from you.
It looks like snow on your sundeck???
It has certainly been a long winter here in Markham although I have escaped some of it-in Hawaii just before Christmas with my oldest son and his family and scuba diving in Caman Brac with 15 members of my scuba club
( Scarborough Underwater Club Inc) Feb22-March 1. We train at the Pan Am Centre near highway 401 and Morningside Ave.
Is that a 12 string guitar I see in the background, that is the guitar I use most of the time in recording my music.
I am not actively persuing sinc any longer-I found it to time consuming and hectic.
Last week I completed 2 new songs
1)/Volumes/PHILIPS UFD/Best Buds 16-44wav/Best Buds mst.wav
2)/Volumes/PHILIPS UFD/Ups and Downs 16-44/Ups and Downs mst.wav
Interested to know what you think of them?
I have recorded over 130 songs now and my websites have videos and e-cards franmanmusic.com
Good Luck on your enterprises
Haha, no snow down here anymore. Just overexposed sun on the camera. That is a 12 string guitar but it only has 6 nylon strings for a particular sound. Sorry to hear you have stopped trying to get your music into TV & film, maybe you’ll circle back again sometime. I unfortunately don’t have time to listen to all the music that gets sent to me, but great to hear you have new material. Wishing you the best with it!
Thanks for remembering me, and i have just released my new 2nd Double album called “Hollywood Live” by rap artist DSJ. And on this album i have a mafia rap song that can be used in a modern day mafia Tv Series or a Modern day Movie soundtrack. Then i have a record 4 Custom direct name songs on my project about 4 public figures that we all know, and a Movie documentary person/director can used my songs to highlight this public figure’s early life, as they progress towards their individual greatness. So please go to any DSP and look for my album, and study my song titles, then recommend my songs you selected to a TV exec, a Movie exec, for a possible music soundtrack placement, Thanks, this is Danny Stringer Jr aka rap artist DSJ from Los Angeles, CA.
Hi Danny, I unfortunately don’t rep music outside of Sync Songwriter, but it sounds like you have the right goods. It’s getting it into the right hands that’s the biggest challenge. If we get a chance to work together in my program, I can introduce you directly to the right people.
Hi Chris, I have enjoyed and learned a lot over the past year (plus) with Synch songwriter and Synch Club. I have followed the program, have all of my tracks embedded with the recommended metadata with instrumentals, stems and alt versions on Disco, I have submitted to every appropriately matching brief that has been sent out and I have met on Zoom with 11 music supervisors thru Synch Club so far. Each meeting has been really encouraging, as many of my tracks have been met with enthusiasm, along with really good feedback as to which ones are best for synch and which ones are more difficult to place. All of my tracks are professionally recorded at a top studio here, with some of the best musicians in Colorado. That’s the good part. However, after spending thousands of dollars with this program and spending so much time creating, recording and putting my songs out there, I am really disappointed that I have not had one response so far. It seems that I am planting seed after seed after seed…but nothing is growing. So honestly, I am very discouraged at this point and questioning the effort. You asked 🙂
Sorry to hear that, Jenn. We have had more sync placements at Sync Songwriter in the last two months than at any other similar period since we started! But you are obviously not part of that wave. Make sure you reach out to me inside Sync Songwriter so I have an idea if your production is good enough, and you are targeting the right music supervisors for your genre. There is almost always a reason when things aren’t going as they should. Talk soon.
The crown jewel of my 4 Custom direct name songs is one i did called “DONATELLA VERSACE” by rap artist DSJ. This song can be used in a upcoming Donatella Versace Film or a Documentary music soundtrack. because her brother GIANNI VERSACE’s movies and Documentary’s were hits with the masses, and from the fashion world. So his sister is doing great things after taking over her brother’s brand. So a filmmaker or Doc filmmaker can highlight this, and my song can be used on the music soundtrack. Thanks, this is Danny Stringer Jr aka rap artist DSJ from Los Angles, CA.
Hey great to hear about your success, Danny. I don’t rep artists, but I can introduce you directly to music supervisors. Just hop on our waitlist from our website.
Yes. I am interested.
Great to hear, Vonderlier. You can hop on our waitlist on our website. This blog was trying to find out how things are going with you overall. I’ll check back in a few days.
Hi Chris.
I couldn’t make joining Sync Songwriter in January, due to health reasons (had a stroke), as needed treatment and some physio rehabilitation.
However, I have been keeping up my song writing, recording for my pending album release for sometime around May.
I asked if I could join the programme at a later date, but understand it could not be facilitated until January next year.
I would like to pursue a sync training programme for around May, so I may capitulate on my compositions for sync opportunity placements, so I am having to shop around for other available programmes that offer mid year training.
Chris, if you can find a way to accommodate this request I would stay with your programme, as you have such great disposition and enthusiasm.
Hope this year is enjoyable and productive with the new students.
Wishing you all well.
Hi Ian, so sorry to hear about your health scare, but it sounds like you are on the road to recovery. Please reach out to info@syncsongwriter.com so I can understand your circumstance correctly.
Looking to write for tv movies and other artists
That is a great idea, Marcus. I have been in that world for almost 20 years now.
Chris, I wrote a Musical Comedy screenplay that I am pitching. I wrote 20 songs for the movie, when made. If your interested in helping find a movie producer and make a finders fee go to:

Hi Max, no we don’t have a membership site. You just missed enrollment in “The Art Of The Song Pitch”, but you can hop on the waitlist if you reach out on our website.
Still waiting for embedded data amd ISRC coding on masters.
Good to hear you know that’s important!
Hey Chris, I am new to the sync songwriter community. I have been doing music for sync for 5 years have done metadata, organizing songs in drives and box which I think is appropriate? I have recently transitioned from and found more of my own compositional voice with ambient guitar, piano and strings. I’m in Maine and struggle to have access to instrumentalists but I feel tha will be my next move over time. I have pitched songs to 30+ libraries, with no luck. I have not yet reached out to any supervisors directly but I have been researching shows and supervisors to follow that fit my musical style. Sometimes it gets discouraging without having much success and the amount of information out there makes it hard to determine which route works best. I hope to follow this community this year and learn as much as I can from yourself and everybody involved!
Welcome to the sync world, Thomas! Yes, it is not easy getting noticed by the folks who can make things happen with everyone else trying to do the same thing. Music libraries are mostly just playing a lottery with millions of tracks in the big ones. Cold emailing supervisors doesn’t work either; they get hundreds of emails a day. Since you are starting out the biggest piece of advice I can give you is try to connect to the people who place the music. This way you can start relationships with them and not be stuck behind a middleman. If you’d like to be on the waitlist for the time I introduce indie songwriters directly to top music supes, just reach out on our website.
Hello, thanks for checking in. My husband and I welcome your assistance in getting our music into TV & film. We have lots to offer.
Great to hear, Schneata. You unfortunately just missed this year’s enrollment for “The Art Of The Song Pitch” where I would have introduced you directly 1 on 1 to top music supervisors for TV & film. We will do it again next year so just reach out if you want us to put you on the wait list.
working on 2 songs at the moment for my producers to work on got one of my songs released with Emma Jean Galliard from south africa its called Johnny Said they made a music video for it its on Emma Jean Music . also got a song thats recored with my PRODUCERS voice federica arimatea WE NEED PEACE TO STOP WAR think it would be a good contender for urovision song contest get in touch chris if you would like to hear it
Hey great to hear, James. I get a lot of music sent to me, so can’t listen to it, but best of luck with the Eurovision push.
best way to catalog music and a way i can just upload and sorts by meta data
Get yourself a Disco account to start, Willie. It’s a favorite platform for music supervisors. There are lots of tutorials out there on how to catalog yourself in there.
Good to know Chris. Another little bit of gem advice worth noting. Thanks.
Hello Chris – as far as tv and film go, I have written a catalogue of songs.
I pray that someone would value what I am doing.
My handle is Audio Painter because I look at my
songs like sonic paintings.
Not sure where that puts me, but I can send a CD if you’re interested in hanging some of my Audio in your hearing space. Blessings Rory.
I wish I had time to listen to all the music that gets sent to me. You have the same problem as most everyone else, which is going through life and never being heard by the right people. My advice is try to find a way to connect with the folks who actually place the music in TV & film.
Hey Chris, Here’s my situation. I’ve had 3 offers from a direct sub under a major with one of the most well known names in the business, who has written for many of the top artists from the ’70s to Lady Gaga. Over the past week I’ve received another from a new label of Live Nation. I’ve been told for many years, my stuff is commercially viable for Film/ TV etc. But the cut involved on their end, far exceeds industry standards. Here’s where you can hear some of my music. randycaserta.bandcamp.com Let me know your thoughts after hearing, if you choose to listen.
Best,
Randy
Sorry I don’t have time to listen to all the music that gets sent to me, but yes, beware of reps who don’t want to put skin in the game. It’s hard enough getting noticed in a sea of music at publishers, agents, and libaries.
Hi Chris.
Thanks for taking the time to get in touch.
Yes, I would like my music to be licensed for TV and film.
I am working on the songs that I want to present, but I also have a regular job that I have to take care of, out of necessity, of course.
I am working on a plan on how to shift my focus from my current job to music, but unfortunately, it is not easy since I am the CTO of a small IT company. I need to make sure the job gets into the right hands before I switch.
At some point, I will sign up for SyncSongwriter when an intake opens. I really appreciate you keeping in touch.
My website is http://www.tonyluzamusic.co.za
And i would like to send my music on TVs and Film
Hi, Chris, we would love to be part of your program, but we are elderly and live on SS, which is not conducive to paying for a program such as yours. I was an artist on Columbia Records in the 80s and they placed my music in several projects. When CBS sold out to Sony, I was given the option of releasing one more record or leave. I left which may have been a bad idea. Now, I have 40 releases of mostly original songs that I can’t do anything with. I am a career recording artist, touring musician and performer who became ill and can no longer get out there and perform. I have to depend on my music catalog and don’t have the resources to get the music to anyone. Hopefully, you can come up with an alternative to the program that can help people like me. My wife worked with Justin in placing one of my songs in an episode of Supernatural before he started his own company. Thanks for considering…..we need your help, too!
Hi Chris. Your seminar was great! I think I have some good material and recordings for TV and film. I am working with two different professionals trying to get that first deal inked. What do you offer to someone without that first deal? Thanks so much. B
Hi,
I am confused as to how to prove copyright of my songs if I submit them for sync. I have them all on cd’s, and all are registered with PRS, and on streaming platforms. What about the backing musicians on there, and the studios I recorded in, some of whom I paid, and some not? Can you advise me on that?
Also, how much AI can I use, instead of musicians, before I have to share ownership.
Thanks, Suzanna.
